The climb from Liurnia past Magma Wyrm Makar, the plateau's west side and the Shaded Castle, then the highway, the greatbridge and the valley of the Minor Erdtree.

West Altus suits level 60 to 80, and this is a long section. It covers the climb out of Liurnia and everything on the plateau west of the road to the capital. The seals here take seven Stonesword Keys, and every one of them is a key you already hold or pick up on the way.

Liurnia of the Lakes · Ruin-Strewn Precipice – Climb the ladders on the platforms to the mine and work through it to a cavern that looks empty. Vulgar Militiamen hide there, and the hollow in its middle is full of spiked balls that release poison, so skirt it. The grace is outside the cavern, before the lift north.

Liurnia of the Lakes · Ruin-Strewn Precipice – Ride the lift north from the Ruin-Strewn Precipice grace and climb the stairs and ladders past Giant Bats and a Singing Bat, to where one ladder goes west and a platform lies southwest. Up the west ladder, cross the planks north and drop to the sloped roof. The corpse is behind the Giant Land Octopus, which you can circle instead of killing.

Rya, the scout from the lake gazebo in Liurnia, now waits up the stairs at the low ruins beside this grace. If you accept her hand she carries you off the plateau, far from this walk. Don't take it yet: a later section sends you back to her.

About this guide

Expect about 230 hours over three runs, in a game where bosses take practice. This route uses no save backups. Run 1 collects everything in the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree, and takes about 170 of those hours. NG+ (about 40) and NG++ (about 20) are shorter runs for the other two endings and the other quest branches, with tougher enemies and some bosses to beat again for remembrance trades. Random drops and free-choice NPC kills never count toward 100%.
