Down the Great Waterfall Basin coffin, across the roots and the ruined city, then Fia's Champions, Lichdragon Fortissax and the end of Fia's and D's brother's steps.

Deeproot Depths suits level 80 to 90 with a weapon at +15 or better, and Torrent works down here. Fia and D's brother need two things from earlier sections at the end: the Cursemark of Death, and the Twinned Set, unaltered.

Location
Deeproot Depths · Root cave – Ride west from the Great Waterfall Crest grace to the great roots. Before you cross, look northwest for a root that climbs to a cave mouth, and follow it in through the Giant Ants. The body with the spell lies at the far end, beside a second opening you can see from the roots but can't enter by.

Incantation that counts toward the Legendary Sorceries and Incantations trophy.

The second coffin

West of The Nameless Eternal City grace, past the corpses in the water, a coffin at the western edge of the waterfall leads to the northern Ainsel River. Leave it for now: the next section reaches that river by a waygate.

Mausoleum Knight SetArmor

Deeproot Depths · Northern cavern – Mausoleum Knights patrol the northern half of the cavern around the walking mausoleum, north of The Nameless Eternal City grace. Each piece is a chance drop. A knight outside the Black Knife Catacombs in Liurnia is quicker to repeat, because it resets at a grace close by.

Location
Deeproot Depths · Northern cavern – Ride due north from The Nameless Eternal City grace to the walking building. Its feet can't be hurt here: start from the northeast, hop along the roots onto its top and break the skull growths around the building. Bringing it down also clears the patrols, so get any knight drops first.
Summary
Copies one remembrance, once only. Its altar can wait: the route's copies all come near the end of this run.

Prince of Death's CystCollectible
Location
Deeproot Depths · Waterfall cave – From the Across the Roots grace go southwest down the big branch to the next large one, follow that southeast and east as it curves, then drop to a branch heading south and on to a wide hole in the ground. It opens over a cave where a Lesser Runebear sleeps: kill it from the ledge with a bow or spells, since it can't reach you. On foot, the way in is behind the waterfall due east of the gazebo.
Summary
Talisman. It has failed to drop for some players, and killing the bear from the ledge is the surest way.

Never kill Fia

Fia can be attacked here, and killing her before you hold her rune loses the rest of this section: Fia: Cursemark given, Fia: Lichdragon Fortissax, the boss and its trophy, the Remembrance of the Lichdragon, both Mending Rune of the Death-Prince rows, then Devin: Inseparable Sword and set back and the Inseparable Sword. Whenever she asks, answer that you want to be held. The other answer can be taken back by talking to her again, but don't rely on it.

The waygate in this arena leads straight into a place this walk reaches much later, by a road that has its own items. Don't step on it.

About this guide

Expect about 230 hours over three runs, in a game where bosses take practice. This route uses no save backups. Run 1 collects everything in the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree, and takes about 170 of those hours. NG+ (about 40) and NG++ (about 20) are shorter runs for the other two endings and the other quest branches, with tougher enemies and some bosses to beat again for remembrance trades. Random drops and free-choice NPC kills never count toward 100%.
