Up the eastern landmass to the Church of Vows and the Crystal Tunnel, along the Bellum Highway to the burning village, then down the well to the Ainsel River.

East Liurnia suits level 50 to 60 with a weapon at about +4 to +6. Start at the south end of the eastern landmass and work north: the Ainsel River comes last, at the same level.

The camp in the middle is full of Cuckoo Knights and Foot Soldiers, and its trebuchets fire on riders coming from the south, so keep moving. The grace is in the right aisle inside the lift's building.

South of the Grand Lift a burning eye forms over a tower, and it builds Madness in anyone it can see. Keep solid rock between you and the flame. Six villagers at the top of the tower feed it: kill them and it goes out for good, either by the ladders or by the updraft on the lower cliff north of the tower.

About this guide

Expect about 230 hours over three runs, in a game where bosses take practice. This route uses no save backups. Run 1 collects everything in the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree, and takes about 170 of those hours. NG+ (about 40) and NG++ (about 20) are shorter runs for the other two endings and the other quest branches, with tougher enemies and some bosses to beat again for remembrance trades. Random drops and free-choice NPC kills never count toward 100%.
