The waygate, a lap of the blood lake, the Dynasty Mausoleum and Varré's last sign, then the palace's Lord and a trip to the Roundtable Hold.

Mohgwyn suits level 110 to 140, with a weapon around +20 to +24 or a somber one at +8 or +9. The invaders and Sanguine Nobles here all build blood loss.

Mohgwyn Palace · Palace Approach – Fast travel to the Inner Consecrated Snowfield grace and ride west to where the Sanguine Noble invaded, north of Yelough Anix Ruins. Behind the big tree by the cliff, drop a couple of ledges beside some white logs to the blood-covered waygate. It lands you in a cave: follow it out and down to the grace.

Clear the lake before Mohg dies

Mohg's death ends the Nameless White Mask invasions, and with them the War Surgeon Set. Kill all three invaders before you take the lift to him. Do Varré's sign before that lift too, as a precaution: it isn't known whether his sign stays once Mohg is dead.

Mohgwyn Palace · Blood lake – Go down the hill from the grace and take the first way left into the blood lake. Three separate invaders appear across the lake, each about ten seconds after you arrive at their spot, and the southern one comes out behind the massive stone pillar by the Giant Crow. Those you kill stay dead, so you can spread them over this lap of the lake.
Why you can lose it
They stop invading once Mohg, Lord of Blood is dead.

Mohg, Lord of Blood dies.

Mohgwyn Palace · Blood lake – The southern invader should drop the whole set. If a piece is missing, kill all three, since the drop may be split among them.
Why you can lose it
The invaders who drop it stop coming once Mohg, Lord of Blood is dead.

Two Golden Seeds, perhaps one pickup

The seed on the blood lake and the seed by the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint may be one pickup in two places. If you want both, don't rest, fast travel, die, use a sign or quit between them. Neither is needed for 100%.

Mohgwyn Palace · Blood lake – From the Palace Approach Ledge-Road grace head north down into the swamp, keeping the wall on your left, until the ground opens out. The golden tree is on a ledge on a rock above you: jump up to it.

This seed and the one at the Dynasty Mausoleum may share one pickup: reload the area after taking either, and the other can be gone.

You reload the area after taking one of Mohgwyn's two Golden Seeds.

Mohgwyn Palace · Dynasty Mausoleum – From the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance grace take the southwest stairs to the praying corpses and the dark doorway beyond them, with a Stake of Marika just outside. Light a torch: Sanguine Nobles ambush you in the cave. At the first split go south and keep left to a dead end, where he sits.

Mohgwyn Palace · Dynasty Mausoleum – From the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance grace take the stairs southwest, past the Putrid Corpses, to the dark doorway they pray toward. Inside, light a torch and take the north way at the split, then west past a Sanguine Noble among gravestones. The path comes out into the open: pass the red sign in the tunnel and go on to the grace, then light it but don't rest, if you want both Golden Seeds.

Mohgwyn Palace · Dynasty Mausoleum – Look down over the cliff near the statue, behind where the Noble stood, for a corpse on the rocks and jump across to it, minding the pit. It may be empty. To get back, go the long way round or fast travel.

This seed and the one at the Dynasty Mausoleum may share one pickup: reload the area after taking either, and the other can be gone.

You reload the area after taking one of Mohgwyn's two Golden Seeds.

Mohgwyn Palace · Dynasty Mausoleum – Go back from the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint grace into the tunnel and touch the red sign, then beat him in his world. Back in yours he lies on the floor beside where the sign was: talk to him until his lines end. Do this before you ride the lift to Mohg, because it isn't known whether the sign stays once Mohg is dead.

Leave the arm for now

With Radahn and Mohg dead, the withered arm on the cocoon opens the Land of Shadow. This route does not go yet: Miquella's Haligtree and Elphael come first, and the arm stays open behind you. The Fire Giant and the Forge wait until after the Land of Shadow.

Roundtable Hold · Gideon's study – Fast travel to the Table of Lost Grace and go to Gideon's study. Tell him what you found, and repeat until he has nothing new: he pays for Mohgwyn and Mohg now, and for the Haligtree and Malenia after the section Miquella's Haligtree and Elphael.
Why you can lose it
His talks end when he leaves the Hold after Maliketh dies. The Twin Maiden Husks then sell what you left unclaimed.
Point of no return
You beat Maliketh, the Black Blade, in the arena at the end of the Great Bridge.

About this guide

Expect about 230 hours over three runs, in a game where bosses take practice. This route uses no save backups. Run 1 collects everything in the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree, and takes about 170 of those hours. NG+ (about 40) and NG++ (about 20) are shorter runs for the other two endings and the other quest branches, with tougher enemies and some bosses to beat again for remembrance trades. Random drops and free-choice NPC kills never count toward 100%.
