The city sweep: Most Wanted and the Riddler's robots

The last full Militia wave and the Riddler's robot puzzles: a loop through Founders' Island, the end of Creature of the Night and Gunrunner, then Miagani from Mercy Bridge round to Wayne Tower, the Ferris wheel and Penitence Bridge.

Panessa is behind you and the Militia have moved back onto all three islands. The story's marker on Miagani can wait: nothing here closes, and this stretch clears what the last wave brought. You now hold the Voice Synthesizer and the Riddler robot chip on top of the Disruptor, Remote Hacking Device, Remote Electrical Charge and Line Launcher, with the Power Winch on the Batmobile, so most robot puzzles open up. New Riddler Informants are out on every island: interrogate them as you go. Save your WayneTech points for two upgrades: Sabotage Drone, listed just before the Otisburg checkpoint, and Fear Multi-Takedown x4, at the end of this section. Left for later: the rooms behind Airship Alpha's voice doors, and the final checkpoints, towers and mines, which have not appeared yet.

Riddler trophy: Panessa Studios roof platesCollectible
Location
Bleake Island · Panessa Studios – Before you leave Bleake, return to the Panessa Studios roof (1805, 2917), to the small platform where the story had you hack a junction box. From a nearby ledge, out of the robot's sight, order it onto the right plate, then glide down to the left plate and Batclaw the trophy.

Location
Founders' Island · Perdition Bridge – Drive over Perdition Bridge to the mine at its Founders' end (2136, 1907). Winch it to upload the virus and beat the 32 drones that answer, taking the Mambas first, as they fire down from the overpasses. Winch it again and hold the revs in the orange.

Location
Founders' Island · Drescher – Drive down into the undercity across from Divinity Church, to the storefront full of robots behind bars (2406, 1726). Order one onto the plate inside so the door to the right opens, go in and break the weak wall with Explosive Gel, then crawl the vent into their room. Beat every robot and Batclaw the trophy from the wall.

Own the Roads: Drescher street cornerQuest step
Location
Founders' Island · Drescher – Back at street level, make for the corner checkpoint at (2535, 1775). Just five soldiers hold it, the easiest on the island, so open with a Fear Multi-Takedown. Find the commander's pulsing body in Detective Mode and destroy his controller.

Riddler trophy: caged robot and turretCollectible
Location
Founders' Island · Drescher – Go on to the building near Penitence Bridge (2640, 1956), where a wire roof covers an electrified floor, and stay on that roof out of the robot's sight. Blind the Sentry Gun with the Remote Hacking Device, walk the robot to the trophy and back out, blinding the gun again if it recovers. Then drop down and beat the robot for the trophy.

Occupy Gotham: Otisburg rooftopQuest step
Location
Founders' Island · Otisburg – Head into Otisburg to the rooftop tower above the road out of Port Adams (2613, 1585). It plays as a small predator room with six soldiers and a Medic, so remove the Medic first, using the overhead cables, weak walls and corners. Finish by putting Explosive Gel on the command console.

Location
Founders' Island · Port Adams – The Batmobile cannot enter Port Adams yet, so glide in to the open-topped container at (2990, 1360) with a cage and eight robots inside. Staying unseen, order them out onto the green patch under the hanging container, then hit its question mark with a Batarang to crush them. Repeat in batches if it helps: the cage opens when all eight are gone.

Disruptor - Sabotage DroneUpgrade
Location
Founders' Island · WayneTech menu – Before the next checkpoint, open the WayneTech upgrades menu, which works anywhere, and buy this in the Gadget Tech tree, after Sabotage Medic. If you are short, the car route below should still work, so carry on and buy it as soon as you can, ahead of anything else.

Own the Roads: Otisburg courtyardQuest step
Location
Founders' Island · Otisburg – Stay out of this courtyard on foot (2518, 1459): six Sentry Drones and three soldiers hold it. Call the Batmobile, circle the walls in Detective Mode for a panel, then use the Remote Hacking Device there, which clears the way in for the car. Shoot everything, then destroy the controller on the commander's body. If the car route fails, use the Sabotage Drone upgrade: rig the drones with the Disruptor from the rooftops, waiting for its shots to recharge, as there are more drones than shots.

Founders' Island · Otisburg – Grapnel up the ruined building above the courtyard to (2516, 1403). The trophy sits in the open on a broken flight of stairs near the top.

Location
Founders' Island · Otisburg – Back down in the cleared checkpoint, take the car to the middle of the site (2505, 1401). Winch the anchor there to tear its wall down, go in on foot, stand on the plate and Batclaw the trophy. A spiked wall then drops and rushes you: switch at once to Remote Batmobile Control and winch the anchor on its back until you can walk out.

Location
Founders' Island · Otisburg – Grapnel onto the building above the checkpoint (2560, 1418). The weak wall here is too high for Explosive Gel, so take Remote Batmobile Control, steer the car below until the wall is in view and break it with the 60mm Cannon. Climb into the gap for the trophy.

Location
Founders' Island · Otisburg – Drive to the green panel on a building wall close to Cobblepot Manor (2640, 1391) and pulse it with the Forensics Scanner. Follow the question marks to the yellow bridge, winch it back into a ramp and jump it with the Afterburner onto the building opposite. Scan your way to the top, shell the green target and climb into the opening.

Riddle: Circus of Strange poster, Pretty Dolls ParlorCollectible
Location
Founders' Island · Pretty Dolls Parlor – Drive down into the undercity to the Pretty Dolls Parlor (2399, 1437). If you left the trophy behind its front counter on your first visit, get it now: take the floor grate by the next door and gel the weak wall at the end of the tunnel. Then take the stairs to the basement, pass through the door onto the circular walkway around the operating theatre where The Perfect Crime ended, turn back, and scan the poster on the wall by that door.

Founders' Island · Ryker Heights – Straight above the parlor, Lex Corp has a green balcony (2369, 1435) with two plates, a gun robot and a cage. From a roof opposite, order the robot onto one plate, then drop onto the other. When it opens fire, throw down a Smoke Pellet and Batclaw the trophy.

Location
Founders' Island · Ryker Heights – Drive to the run-down building by the docks (1976, 1510) and winch the anchor on its western side to pull a wall down, then climb in and leave the car hooked on. Stand on the green plate to open the cage, take Remote Batmobile Control and let go of the anchor so the wall rises behind you. Fire the Line Launcher across the room to the cage; touching any other plate locks it again.

Riddler trophy: Chinatown sewer control roomCollectible
Location
Bleake Island · Chinatown sewers – Pick Gunrunner on the mission wheel for the call about a van near Mercy Bridge (it may instead be near Salvation Bridge). Tag it with the Disruptor, knock on its door and tail it from the rooftops, staying 150 to 200 m back, to the water treatment plant in Chinatown. The plant has no way in at street level, so drive into the sewer at (1951, 2403) and on to (1713, 2294), clear the room from the Batmobile, then climb the stairs on foot: the trophy is on a table in the room before the bollard switch.

Bleake Island · Chinatown sewers – Pull the lever in the control room to lower the bollards, drive through, and winch the counterweight on the right-hand wall, backing up to open the door beside it. Go in on foot and grapple up the shaft to a wire ceiling with hatches, then drop on the biggest group with a Fear Multi-Takedown. You fight the thugs and their Brute alone here; afterwards, gel the cache in the vault and blow it.

Location
Founders' Island · AmerTek Building – This starts as soon as the fourth cache falls. Follow the marker to the AmerTek Building roof on Founders' Island; a scrambler blocks Detective Mode, so take the sniper first, then the six thugs. Use the switch by the elevator, drop down the shaft and through the lift's hatches, and crawl to the wire ceiling over a Sentry Gun. Blind it, disable it, pull the grate opposite and follow the vents to Nightwing, freeing him from behind the weak wall. Fight together, gel the cache, use the team takedown when Penguin steps in, and drive him to GCPD.

Location
Miagani Island · Kingston – Climb to the tower close by (2741, 2654), on the rooftop you know from the weapons trail. Eight soldiers and a Minigunner patrol it with a scrambler and mines: work from the overhead cables and the tunnels under the roof, take the scrambler when you can and leave the Minigunner for last. Gel the console to finish.

Location
Miagani Island · Mercy Bridge – Drive under the bridge to the support at its Miagani end (2795, 2779), shoot the weak wall and climb in. From the ledge, fire a Remote Electrical Charge at the generator to slide the steam wall over, order the robot into the gap and fire again to crush him. Batarang the question mark at the back to rebuild him on the far side, then order him onto the plate to open the cage. If the switch stays dead his body is jammed in the wall, so repeat the crush.

Location
Miagani Island · Kingston – Stay in the Batmobile for the checkpoint outside Ranelagh Ferry Terminal (2876, 2900), held by Sentry Drones and soldiers. On the road beside it, climb the stairs to a raised walkway, shoot over the barricades, then jump in to finish and destroy the commander's controller. If the car route fails, use the Sabotage Drone upgrade: rig the drones with the Disruptor before you go in.

Location
Miagani Island · Miagani shoreline – Follow the coast from Wayne Tower toward the Ferris wheel to the balcony checkpoint at (3483, 2418). Six soldiers and a Boa Drone patrol it, so treat it as a small predator room, with silent takedowns and corners. Then destroy the commander's controller.

Miagani Island · Bristol – Carry on to the dock by the Ferris wheel (3509, 2159), where three plates surround a cage and two robots wait, one armed. From a rooftop, unseen, order each robot onto a plate, glide to the third, drop a Smoke Pellet and Batclaw the trophy. If a third robot appears, send it to the last plate and grab the trophy from further off.

Miagani Island · Penitence Bridge – Last stop: under the Miagani end of Penitence Bridge (2871, 2070). Order the robot onto the lower plate, gel the two switches on the bridge support, then stand on the upper plate. Detonate and hit the other two switches with quick Batarangs: all four must fall within 3 seconds of each other.

About this guide

Two playthroughs. Run 1 on Normal or Hard does the story, every Most Wanted mission, Season of Infamy, all 243 Riddler challenges and the Knightfall Protocol, with free roam still open afterwards. Run 2 is New Story+, played on Knightmare, for the main missions and Blunt Trauma. The Arkham Episodes, A Matter of Family and the AR challenges come last.
