One pass down a quiet street, house by house, then the drop into the sniper's street.

This street is calm, so take your time, because nearly everything here sits before one drop into the next area. Follow the rows in order: the talks lead to the fifth set of Ellie's jokes, so finish them, the workbench and both houses before you walk to the Firefly wall at the far end. Combat Ready falls due at the bench, and the parts from the safes and shiv rooms you've emptied cover it. A missed pickup can be collected after the credits with Chapter Select, but do the talks and the joke on this first pass.

The Suburbs · Suburbs – Follow the road to the first house you can enter on your right, and go up the stairs to the child's bedroom. The note lies on the chest of drawers. If that door stays shut, it's the next house along.

The Suburbs · Suburbs – Go back to the road and follow it to the bend. Climb through the hole in the side of the house there, the one painted with a U loot, I shoot warning, and wait in the kitchen until Henry comes in and finishes his story.

The Suburbs · Suburbs – While the bench is open, buy every Revolver upgrade until none is left. It costs 155 parts in all and needs the Level 3 Tool, and the trophy pops on the last one. The safes and shiv rooms you've emptied hold enough for this, so spend on nothing else until it's done. If you run short, the safe in the white house holds more, and any later bench will do.

The Suburbs · Suburbs – From the wall, climb up into the side garden next to the white house. The pendant hangs in the tree, on the left-hand side and hard to spot. Shoot it down, or throw the brick that lies beside the tree, and pick it up.

Take these first: Looting Note, Father's Note, the Melee Techniques manual, Survivor's Note, Messenger Particle, the Matchbook, the safe, the Matthew White pendant and the workbench. Finish the kitchen, barricaded house, ice cream, darts and Firefly wall talks, and Ellie's jokes.

The Suburbs · Suburbs – Near the wrecked building, stay in cover and strangle the hunters as they come to you, then finish the rest with melee and the shotgun. Clear the guards behind the sniper's building, go up, win the struggle, and use the mounted rifle on anything that grabs Ellie, Sam or Henry on their way to you.

About this guide

One run of the story and one of Left Behind, on any difficulty: no trophy depends on it. The story is one way, so take each pickup before you move on. After the credits, Chapter Select clears anything its menu shows as short, but take the Workbench Tools on the first run: the menu doesn't show them, and one taken on a replay may not count.
