This stretch runs from the cave under Witches Horn to the Nightmare Ruins. You arrive with everything this planet asks for except the Climbing Claws, and a boss fight in the cave gives you those. With them you go back up Witches Horn, cross Cliffside Fortress and the Nightbrother Dungeon, take the Village properly, and return to Brother's Bastion and the broken walkway. Left for later on purpose: the Tomb of Kujet, which doesn't open on this visit. Everything else on the planet gets done here, apart from the left path from the Landing Pad, which the return trip walks.
From the path below the stairs, cross the beam into the cave and follow it down.
The fall ends in the upper swamp, by the ledge where you first saw the giant bat. Two pickups sit above the wall where the chase stopped, so go back for them now. Walk the same way as before: down the stairs, over the beam, past the first Meditation Point and into the chamber. Climb the Fire Lichen wall, squeeze through the gap, cross the beams and finish the yellow wall.
From the platform, the path leads downhill, and a last drop puts you in the swamp beside the crash. A few steps and a flight of stairs from the body, a Fire Lichen wall goes up. At the top, find the niche with a grooved wall, Force Pull the spiked wooden gate down and Wall Run through into Cliffside Fortress, which holds no pickups. Nightbrothers are fighting a Nydak here: let them, then finish whoever is left, and pull the archers down from their lookouts. With this exit walked, the Swamp of Sacrifice should read 100% on the holomap. If it doesn't, carry on: the planet's holomap item on the return trip covers it.
In the far left corner, Force Pull the two spiked planks down (Force Push if they won't move) and hold them with Force Slow, then Wall Run across them to the climbing wall. Climb over, go down the wall beyond and turn left to the bridge you lowered in the Village. Hang from the beam under it and shimmy across into the Nightbrother Dungeon.
Past the chest, squeeze through the gap on the right at the end of the corridor. Climb the wall straight away on your left, follow the beam to a second wall and climb that as well. You come up on a platform overlooking the Village, with a Meditation Point on it.
From the shortcut rope, go up the ramps, cross the beam and climb the next rope. At the top turn right, squeeze through the gap and open the door at the end. That is another shortcut: you are back above the double ropes, with the Mantis in sight.
The ship is in sight from this door. To plant the two Dathomir Terrarium Seeds now, so they have time to grow, go down through Strangled Cliffs to the Landing Pad. Come back by the left path from the pad, which the Climbing Claws now open and which leads up to Upper Strangled Cliffs.
Nydak Alpha is one of the hardest fights so far, and it is needed for Legendary Beasts. Only a kill counts: dying to it fills in its Tactical Guide entry, nothing more. If it is too much now, leave this path and go straight to the warning below. The path stays open, so the fight and the four pickups past it can wait for the return to Dathomir after Ilum.
Going in ends this visit. The doors shut behind Cal, and touching the Tomb of Kujet door at the back starts a long story scene that sends him running for the Mantis, which then leaves the planet. Before you step inside, finish everything else on Dathomir: every Swamp of Sacrifice pickup with both Terrarium Seeds, the chest and Force Essence at the top of Witches Horn, the Dungeon and Village pickups, the Collapsed Settlement wall and, unless you chose to leave it, the right-hand path here. The holomap shows any chests or Secrets still open. Only the Tomb itself and the left path from the Landing Pad are left for later. Nothing is lost if you miss something, because the planet stays open, but it costs a long walk back.
